Localized High Frequency Ultrasounds – HIFU
One of the latest innovations in the struggle for body remodeling is the technique that makes use of HIFU waves, or high frequency localized ultrasounds.
The treatment allows the elimination of adipocytes (fat cells) and localized fat.
In addition, the technique is also effective in facial toning.
The results are appreciated in an immediate manner and with minimal side effects.

Indications
HIFU technology is suitable for body remodeling, localized fat treatment and cellulite. In the case of facial rejuvenation, it is recommended for people over 30 years old, age when some skin areas of the face begin to acquire a more relaxed and less firm appearance.
How does it work?
Hifu technology works by applying high intensity and concentrated ultrasounds. These ultrasounds produce a thermomechanical effect, destroying the fat tissue at the subcutaneous level, without damaging the adjacent tissues or epidermis. It can also be applied in curved areas of the body, such as abdomen, culote and gluteus.
In turn, the ultrasonic waves increase the body temperature, promoting a retraction and restructuring of the molecules of collagen and elastin.
Side effects
It is a painless and non-invasive treatment, since it respects the superficial layers of the skin. It requires no recovery period.
In some cases, skin redness may appear in the treated region, which disappears a few hours later.
Other side effects are the emergence of slight swelling in the treatment zone, a tingling sensation, or touch sensitivity. Likewise, they disappear in a few hours. In the first 2 or 3 days it is still possible to feel a slight muscular pain.
How many sessions are required?
The number of sessions required varies for each person. However, it is normal for the treatment to involve between 2 and 3 sessions.
The results of the application of HIFU waves are noticed from the first session, whether for the purpose: facial rejuvenation, or body remodeling. It is necessary to take into account that, although the results are noticed from a first moment, the collagen has a restructuring time of 21 days, which causes the definitive results not to be appreciated until after 2 to 3 months.
In the case of treatment with HIFU waves for the face, it is worth noting that the effects remain for up to 6 months.
Hifu is contraindicated in the following situations: inflamed, burnt skin, infections, wounds, tattoos; Cholesterol alterations; Renal and hepatic alterations.
