The actress went to the Porto clinic, run by doctor Emílio Valls, and had her eyes operated on by specialist Álvaro Sá, using the refractive technique Excimer Laser, Lasik, a surgery with the most advanced techniques for correcting errors such as myopia, stigmatism and hyperopia. ‘I’ve had problems with my eyesight since I was four years old and I wore glasses from that age, but in my teens I stopped wearing them out of vanity, which made my problem worse,’ said the actress, admitting to “difficulties wearing contact lenses” and that’s why she opted for “this surgical technique”. Relaxed, after being informed about all the procedures, she only had to wait for a recovery time of 4 to 6 hours and was ready to resume her normal life and give up wearing glasses or contact lenses for good.
