Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is a simple and proven treatment used in aesthetic medicine, consisting of injecting gas under the skin to eliminate cellulite marks, stretch marks, localized fat, and skin laxity.

Benefits of Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy acts on various areas of the body.

It is currently used for the treatment of:

  • Cellulite;
  • Wrinkles » providing greater firmness to the skin;
  • Skin Laxity » promoting the formation of collagen and elastin;
  • Dark Circles » stimulates circulation and the formation of new blood vessels, which lighten the darkened appearance;
  • Stretch Marks » stimulates collagen formation in the area. The benefits are much more visible for new, reddened stretch marks;
  • Localized Fat, reducing measurements;
  • Facial and body rejuvenation.
What is Carboxytherapy Used For?

Carboxytherapy is a reference treatment for cellulite but also for improving laxity in difficult areas such as the arms, “double chin,” thighs, and knees.

It is also useful for stretch marks and scars, regardless of their location. On the face, it is particularly effective for improving the periocular area, especially when there are wrinkles, laxity, or hyperpigmentation (“dark circles”).

When applied at a more superficial layer, it stimulates the synthesis of elastin and collagen, contributing to a reduction in skin laxity, resulting in improved skin quality.

How Does Carboxytherapy Work?

Carboxytherapy works through the mechanical effect of CO2 entering the tissues at high speed, capable of mechanically destroying fat cells.

Simultaneously, the CO2 introduced into the tissues is exchanged for oxygen from the blood, which is then deposited in the tissues, causing their oxygenation and activating metabolic and reparative processes.

How Many Sessions Are Necessary?

Carboxytherapy is performed in the office in a comfortable manner.

The total treatment includes about 8 to 16 sessions, which can be done up to twice a week. Each session lasts from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

Your doctor will always determine the necessary number of sessions.
