Electrostimulation

Electrostimulation

Electrostimulation is a non-invasive treatment used to shape the silhouette, firm, and tone muscle fibers. The treatment is painless and uses electrodes on the skin, which transmit artificial impulses to the muscles.

Main Indications

Electrostimulation is indicated for toning muscle fibers, treating laxity, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and eliminating toxins. It helps combat localized fat and shape the silhouette.

How Does It Work?

Electrostimulation is performed by applying electrodes to the skin, generating impulses in the muscle fibers, causing their contraction and subsequent toning. The muscle contraction also promotes energy consumption, burns localized fat, and reduces cellulite.

Side Effects

After the session, there may be a sensation of redness in the areas where the electrodes were applied and slight muscle soreness in the stimulated areas.

Effectiveness

This treatment allows for the stimulation of dozens of muscles in a short time, equivalent to approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of conventional training. With two sessions per week, satisfactory results can be seen after a month.

How Many Sessions Are Necessary?

It is recommended to perform about 6 to 10 sessions, 2 to 3 times a week. Each session lasts approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

Contraindications

Electrostimulation is contraindicated in the following situations: patients with heart diseases; phlebitis; pacemakers; circulatory, blood pressure, renal, and dermatological alterations; infections; metal prostheses; epilepsy; and varicose or dilated veins should not undergo this treatment.
