Cavitation

Cavitation

The cavitation treatment is non-invasive and is used to reduce measurements. The session involves applying gel to the area being treated, over which the cavitation device is glided. The treatment is painless, and only a slight buzzing sound may be felt in the ears, as a reflection of the ultrasounds in the body.

MAIN INDICATIONS

Cavitation is indicated for eliminating localized fat that does not disappear with physical exercise and also for reducing cellulite.

In addition to helping eliminate fat and improving the silhouette and skin appearance, this technique also enhances blood circulation, helping to break down fibrosis and eliminate toxins.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

By applying ultrasound at specific frequencies, this technique promotes the release of fat from adipocytes (fat cells) into the lymphatic system, without affecting the surrounding tissues. Each session lasts about 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.

SECONDARY EFFECTS

Cavitation is a safe, painless method that does not leave marks on the skin, allowing for daily activities. However, during cavitation, fat is released into the lymphatic system, which may lead to a temporary increase in cholesterol. Therefore, it is advisable to perform lymphatic drainage or aerobic exercise on the day of the session to mitigate this effect.

EFFECTIVENESS

Volume loss can reach up to 2 cm from the 3rd session.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NECESSARY?

It is recommended to undergo a minimum of 6 to 10 sessions. Treatment can be performed every 72 hours.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Cavitation is contraindicated in the following situations: pregnancy; diabetes; uncontrolled high cholesterol; metal prostheses; IUDs; varicose veins or dilated veins in the area to be treated; obesity; high blood pressure; epilepsy; cardiac disorders; and edema/liquid retention (in this case, it is advisable to perform about 3 sessions of lymphatic drainage beforehand to improve lymphatic system circulation).
